Cookies and localStorage are different

A cookie can be sent with website requests. localStorage holds values in your browser for a particular website and does not automatically attach them to requests. Both are forms of storage on your device, so both should be considered when reviewing site data.

The supplied site code does not set cookies, load analytics, run advertising pixels or embed social-media tracking. Ordinary browser caching of local images, styles and scripts may still occur. Hosting or delivery infrastructure can have its own technical behaviour; this page describes the functions implemented by this website.

The preference this site can save

If you choose to remember an essential-only preference, the site stores the localStorage key studio-privacy-preference with the value essential-only. It records your choice, not your identity. The site’s script does not send this value to a server or use it to profile you.

The value has no automatic expiry in this code. It remains until you remove it, clear site data, or your browser deletes it. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the guides. No optional tracking is enabled if you leave the preference unset.

The local draft maker uses the current page’s memory for message fields and the generated text. It does not save the draft in this preference key or any other localStorage key. Choosing Copy places text on your clipboard, and choosing Download creates a file on your device. Those are separate from cookie storage.
